This projection and tonal warmth is down to the mahogany and spruce body. You might not find those Hank Marvin or John Frusciante-inspired Strat tones, but the Fullerton Strat ukulele still sounds rich and pleasing. The Fullerton Strat ukulele even features a built-in pre-amp, giving you the option to enjoy it unplugged or plugged in to one of the best guitar amps if you so wish. The inspiration for the body shape is obvious, and while the aforementioned novelty value of a Strat-shaped uke may wear off after time, the sound and feel of this concert-voiced ukulele will bring you pleasure for years to come. All novelty value put aside, the Fender Fullerton Stratocaster uke is a good-looking, well-made instrument which will bring a smile to the face of nearly everyone who takes a look or picks one up. The Fullerton Strat is an ideal ukulele for anyone who's a self-diagnosed Fender addict. Novelty of the shape may wear off quickly So long as you don't take yourself too seriously, this is a wonderfully inexpensive way to get started with the ukulele. We love the 'flying V' variant, but they do so many styles in a range of colours that you won't struggle for choice. If a budget-friendly ukulele is more your thing, then the Mahalo Soprano ukulele is the option on this list that represents the ideal mix of value for money and fun. If the ukulele is your main instrument, you should consider spending a little more to get the perfect instrument, however for most players the benefits above this price bracket will be marginal and you probably won't hear or feel them. There are definitely more expensive models out there, but the T1K represents the best sounding ukulele we've tried that's not rare, vintage, or a custom order. If you're in the market for a high-end ukulele, we can't think of a better uke to splash your cash on than the Martin T1K Tenor uke (opens in new tab).

So far, I’m not aware of any function in Krita that allows for inputting vector angles, therefore I was left to rely on my personal vector calculus understanding to produce the intersection coordinates (highschool throwback )Īnyway, I hope these files are useful for those creative types out there I can’t easily recall any more composition guides that could be added to this pack, so I might leave this alone for a while. The 6 new additions to this library were relatively easy to design in Krita, however I had a bit of trouble for both the Harmonious Triangle and Baroque Diagonal Templates they required a right angle between intersecting lines. This diagram demonstrates how the further to the right a circle moves relative to the viewer, the more its face becomes visible, resulting in a. Customize brush with 9 unique brush engines. Keep in mind that since this is based on the angle between the direction the circle is facing and the direction the viewer is facing, the degree will actually change just by moving the circle around in space, without necessarily having to rotate it. Yes, they are a little faster in comparison to the Magden and their crowd control isn’t too shabby either. They receive a lot of recognition in PvP for their pre-packaged Stam Heals, their Major Mending and their wicked AoE Burst Kit. Speaking of someone who doesn’t need to worry about their ability to self-heal, the Stamden has nothing to be embarrassed about in this setting. Heavy Attacks refill your Stamina, so pepper those throughout your usage of your front bar skills.Right out of the gate, they have one of the most explosive Burst Kits in the game, able to mete out sick damage in AoE and Single-target.Stamblades are at least the 2nd fastest Class in the lists, so don’t squander their speed.Always remember that rotation with Nightblades, either kind, can be incredibly tricky even for seasoned players. The “Slice & Dice”, if you will, particularly if they implement Dual Wield. From the Stamina perspective, their Regeneration is what keeps their little jackrabbit hearts pumping as the flit from offensive move to offensive move. Oh man, is the Stamblade ever fast! Plus, you’re a hair faster these days, too! But that’s not saying too much when you were basically a tortoise before. They may be hotter, but you still share some wonderful qualities with them. It must be difficult being a Mag DK, whose big brother is still basically running the show in both PvE and PvP. Here are some the more creative Magden builds to toy with: Winter’s Revenge and Deep Fissure are your spammables – use them wisely.Seeing slightly increased DPS lately, but there is still HUGE Survivability available.(You want the bear slotted at all costs.) Slotting animals on the front bar gives the player an increasingly higher Damage Passive. Also, this class still plays very favorably as Vampire, so just some food for thought there. Magdens are just not as fast as their Stamden siblings, whom we see further up the list. Literally! Because they still like to hurl giant birds at you and send even bigger spirit beetles to nip at your legs. They still have one of the best regeneration and their firepower is quite monstrous. Good news for Wardens! PvP still likes them a little bit in this series of patches. What a perfect way to help you develop your next Champion, eh? We then took all that raw data and fed it into a spreadsheet (a magical spreadsheet, where equations are devised by grouchy math pixies) and it spat out this list. No YouTubers or forum discussion admins were harmed in the making of this list, but players’ opinions were heavily weighed and taken into consideration. Hold up a minute though, adventurer! There’s been so many changes over the last few months with patches, are you SURE you’re the best ESO Class to take on other players these days?īefore you get caught with your greaves down, let’s see what some of the experts have come up with here in our comprehensive Top 10 List. Well once again it shows you have no understanding of the games mechanics, playing from offscreen is part of the game, every player plays in an unfixed perspective(might be wording wrong) basically its that if you see them on your left and right, from your opponents perspective it’s their top and bottom and vice versa, that is the mind game, you have to position accordingly to get the best vantage point. You finally just crawled out of the backwoods and swamps of Tamriel with your newest character at a Level 10, and it’s time for you to whoop some serious PvP butt. You complain about stagger and “getting off screened” I mean same I was diamond(season 1, when the game was slow and ppl sucked) back in the day but these days in hard stuck gold, but I still have fun, but even League, for how popular and large it is has it’s sets of quirks and oddities that will make someone who in unfamiliar with the game scratch their head and ask “how does that make sense?” Safari Technology Preview can run side-by-side with the existing Safari browser and while designed for developers, it does not require a developer account to download. Sometimes when we were slow, I used to look at them and be like, “Why are you making all these mistakes?” But both of them are working so much better under stress. So the two boys in the restaurant were able to do a really great service. My amazing sous chef David Lam and my awesome husband Jimmy held it down. And two weeks of that was in Portland, so I was calling in to the restaurant and doing some operations. I actually left the restaurant to shoot Top Chef Amateurs for about a month. It’s a much lower rent-one that we’ll be able to afford, which is amazing.ĭuring all this craziness, I had still committed to a few appearances and TV shoots. And after months and months of renegotiation, we came to an agreement that we all feel kind of comfortable with. We’re very lucky that our landlord was willing to work with us. We didn’t pay rent for a while, and then we ended up renegotiating a five-year extension with our landlord because I’m hopeful about the future. But we were only doing about 25 percent of what we did before. I was on the line every single day in the beginning when we reopened. Our opening was considered very successful. That was about the same time that Los Angeles County announced we could be open for outdoor dining. We applied with so many different banks and were very fortunate to be able to get our loan. I was thinking that maybe I needed to do more TV, and then just do management deals in the future where I don’t have to put so much heart and soul and our money into owning our own place.īut we tried our luck with a PPP loan. So I was actually thinking that I needed to change the direction of my career and let go of the idea of running my own restaurant with my own money. And at that moment, there were a few TV opportunities and appearance requests still coming my way. There was very minimal money sitting in the bank. Then after staying at home for two months, it was May, and my husband Jimmy Lee and I just had this sinking feeling where we didn’t know how to come back at all. When the March 15th shutdown happened, we closed and laid off everybody so they could get unemployment. It was already affecting our business before Chinese New Year in 2020. Chi was already struggling, because we are a Chinese restaurant and there was discrimination after people heard that COVID had come from China. I don’t think I ever worked in any restaurant that didn’t have tablecloths before.īut even before the shutdown in Los Angeles County, Ms. In a way, I’ve always sort of been living in the fine-dining world. One day, I’ll try to get my own Michelin star. But now that idea is going to put on the backburner for a while. Madame Chi was going to be a really elevated modern Chinese restaurant, fancy banquet-style. My ultimate goal then was to do a fine-dining restaurant that had tableside duck service. Chi was the casual idea that spun out of Madame Chi. Less than two years ago, I was looking at downtown LA locations to open my original idea, which was Madame Chi. Even when I worked for José Andrés as executive chef of China Poblano, which was a more fun and casual style of restaurant in Las Vegas, there were still a lot of fine-dining touches, components, and ingredients. I opened Guy Savoy, which was two-Michelin-starred fine-dining French cuisine. Then I went to Vegas to open Bouchon and spent 13 years of my career in Las Vegas. My first job was with Thomas Keller as an extern at the French Laundry. I came from a very fine-dining background. ExpressVPN charges the most as it is somewhat of a premium option. In addition it's relatively easy to implement missing functionality (RGB fields, whatnot) thanks to the simple API it provides. This way the widget fits well responsive layouts. #8 Slow as Sh*t - did someone just drop a brick on my Mac Painter always has a non-standard feel to me, to that I mean it worked “differently” than other apps most notably Adobe products, and where that may not be a bad thing it does have your UI going in un-foreseen areas to the user and in fact they had to adapt more to the Adobe standard of files and UI tool sets to be more useful to Photoshop users and this was early on before photoshops dominate in the graphics field but recognizing Adobe’s dominance with their other tools such as Illustrator and having to work with them as much as possible. I would start working or really experimenting trying to figure things out and the more palettes I opened the more lost I got - numbers of hair in my brush, all those adjustments but never a good predicable behaving brush and a lot of the natural media brushes I actually don’t know the real counter part so it’s hard to determine the “realness” of the brushes but I have seen the work produced and it’s just amazingly realistic just not on my monitor - maybe my monitor was broke. OMG, The pallets stuffed with selections, what does this do, what does that do, what does any of this do and trying to remember where the pallet you just used is or the setting you used 27 steps back, It was always overwhelming. #10 A zillion pallets with a zillion selections in each I thought it would be most fitting to do a classic Late Night With David Letterman Top 10 List and start at number 10 and work to the almighty number 1 reason Why I Can't Stand Using Corel Painter For Anything! Alright then, let’s get started. It’s one of the few projects where I’ve actually used proper debugging techniques rather than just print statements, as it actually works. The integration with Chrome Debugging essentially seals the deal. I can officially say it’s taken over Sublime as my primary editor for over a year now. The editor ships basically with all you need out of the box, absolutely minimal setup required. The ecosystem, proving once again, is the key to success, the amount of useful plugins the Visual Studio Code Marketplace offers is great. Outstanding Visual Studio Code & Chrome Debugging I can’t stress this enough, if there are 2 things that convince me that Microsoft understands developers it’s TypeScript and Visual Studio Code. None of them offered a mode to show the browser navigation on iPhones for example to see the actual viewable height and width in a Mobile Safari, they all assume you are building an app that will use the entire screen’s estate. Edge still offers some ancient Windows Phones as previews, while Firefox’s preview is so limited in functionality, it feels like they just reduced the screen estate and that’s it. On top of that, the only browser that has proper Mobile Preview support turned out to be Chrome. If you don’t have proper CSS design from the start, these queries will not save you from your poor CSS design practices. If you cover iPhone X to display correctly, somewhat the iPhone 6 layout messes up. Media queries and Mobile support The thing I’ve never worked with before was media queries. Best of luck setting the margin and padding correctly to have the thing scale proportionately on multiple screens. Sometimes it feels like you need a PhD in maths to get the proportions right, 40% of the 70% of the 100% of the View port. Being obsessed about pixel perfect position doesn’t help either, at one point you have to cut your losses and pick 2 browsers and platforms it shows well and the rest to be on best effort.Ĭentering a relative dimensions DIV is still an achievement, even in 2018 The fact that there is an entire flow-chart-like page dedicated to centering on CSS-Tricks, shows the age-old problem of centering stuff correctly. The only blessing was the Chrome’s console and showing the applied styles. This was the only time I consider wasted from the entire effort spent on the project. My pain this time around was Firefox, which doesn’t render empty lines, so I had because of 2 empty lines to re-write padding and margin specifics for an hour to make it look consistent. Ironically, my new favorite browser is Edge. It does require to edit the default packaging configuration to make the CSS-styles component-wise. React and JSX has somewhat helped alleviate the struggle. However, managing styles per component and multiple pages is the easiest thing to get out of hand. There are nicer things, like transform, etc. I still hate CSS and Cross-browser support 12 years since I first embraced web development and it feels like CSS has just piled up on the mess it already was. In Angular you are presented with the deep end from the start, so it takes longer to learn how to pass data correctly between components. If you want to go advanced and modify behaviour based on lifecycle hooks, you can go it. The reason I think it’s easier to pick up is its structure to pass data back & forth between components. I didn’t use any other direct dependencies. I used React DnD (Drag & Drop) and Material UI packages, to keep the styling nice. The other thing is, at the moment it does have the most lively ecosystem of packages that extend it. It feels like it’s endorsing the NodeJS philosophy one step further, it is also the younger framework, which explains it. React feels like what HTML6 should be I found React to be much easier and faster to pick up and get from 0 to usable level than Angular. It was ideal for my purpose and was suitable for playing on a phone.Īfter finishing the 200+ lectures on React, Redux, React DnD, reading quite a bit of documentation and Stack Overflow and 3 weeks of after work playing around I finished the game. So browsing through old games from my childhood I stumbled upon Peg Solitaire and Tower of Hanoi, so I picked the Peg Solitaire. I got the online course on React on Udemy from Max and wanted to build something simple but in the same time useful. On my journey to try out new technologies and languages, the next stop after the IvoTetris Game built in Angular and TypeScript, was React and ES6. If you want to play the game – Ivo Peg Solitaire, it’s available here: |
